Gemeinsam mit dem <a href=\"\/magazin\/weinwissen\/ein-mythos-die-weinregion-burgund\/\">Burgund<\/a> steht das Bordeaux (franz. Bordelais) weltweit an der Spitze der besten Anbaugebiete. Mit einer Rebfl\u00e4che von etwa 120.000 Hektar ist es das gr\u00f6\u00dfte geschlossene Weinanbaugebiet weltweit. In rund 3.000 Weing\u00fctern werden mehr als 5,5 Millionen Hektoliter Wein j\u00e4hrlich produziert. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Das wahrscheinlich bekannteste Weinbaugebiet der Welt im <a href=\"\/magazin\/weinwissen\/sud-ouest-reben-museum-im-suedwesten-von-frankreich\/\">S\u00fcdwesten von Frankreich<\/a> liegt auf einem Kalksteinsockel, der an der Oberfl\u00e4che teils meterdick mit Ablagerungen aus Sand und Kies bedeckt ist. Dies gew\u00e4hrleistet einen optimalen Wasserabfluss, und die Rebst\u00f6cke k\u00f6nnen ihre Wurzeln besonders tief in den Boden schlagen. Gemeinsam mit einem konstant milden Atlantik-<a href=\"\/magazin\/weinwissen\/beste-voraussetzungen-klima-und-wein\/\">Klima<\/a> entstehen so in der Weinbauregion Bordeaux die besten Grand Crus.<\/p>\n<h2>Der klassische Bordeaux-Wein ist eine Cuv\u00e9e<\/h2>\n<p>Der n\u00f6rdliche Teil der Weinbauregion Bordeaux wird von den Fl\u00fcssen Dordogne und Garonne durchflossen, die sich bei der Stadt Bordeaux in der Gironde vereinen. Dadurch ergeben sich zwei Bereiche: Rive droite, das rechte Ufer, und Rive gauche, das linke Ufer. Die bekanntesten Appellationen im Bereich Rive droite sind Saint-Emilon, Fronsac und Pomerol. Im Bereich Rive gauche sind es Medoc, Sauternes und Graves. Der klassische Bordeaux-Wein ist ein <a href=\"\/magazin\/frag-die-weinfreunde\/was-ist-eine-cuvee\/\">Cuv\u00e9e<\/a>, der aus verschiedenen Rebsorten gekeltert wird. 85 Prozent der Rebfl\u00e4chen im Bordeaux beheimaten rote Rebsorten. Darunter dominieren mit einem Anteil von etwa 90 Prozent <a href=\"\/magazin\/weinwissen\/cabernet-franc\/\">Cabernet Franc<\/a>, <a href=\"\/magazin\/weinwissen\/cabernet-sauvignon\/\">Cabernet Sauvignon<\/a> und <a href=\"\/magazin\/weinwissen\/merlot\/\">Merlot<\/a>. Mit einem Anteil von 50 Prozent dominiert bei den wei\u00dfen Sorten eindeutig <a href=\"\/magazin\/weinwissen\/semillon\/\">S\u00e9millon<\/a>, gefolgt von <a href=\"\/magazin\/weinwissen\/sauvignon-blanc\/\">Sauvignon Blanc<\/a>, <a href=\"\/magazin\/weinwissen\/colombard\/\">Colombard<\/a>, Muscadelle und Ugni Blanc.
