Zusammen mit Ugni Blanc und Folie Blanc wurde die Rebsorte fr\u00fcher zur <a href=\"\/magazin\/weinwissen\/cognac-brandy-co-wenn-wein-zur-spirituose-wird\/\">Cognac<\/a>&#8211; und Armagnac-Herstellung verwendet. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Heute wird sie eher f\u00fcr den Weinausbau benutzt. Colombard ist nicht zu verwechseln mit der Rebsorte <a href=\"\/magazin\/weinwissen\/semillon\/\">S\u00e9millon<\/a> (Colombier). Der Name leitet sich viel eher vom franz\u00f6sischen Wort &#8222;Colombe&#8220; ab, das so viel wie Taube bedeutet und damit die graue Farbe der Beeren aufgreift. Eine DNA-Analyse l\u00e4sst vermuten, dass Colombard eine nat\u00fcrlich Kreuzung der Sorten Gouais Blanc und <a href=\"\/magazin\/weinwissen\/chenin-blanc\/\">Chenin Blanc<\/a> ist.<\/p>\n<h2>Von Frankreich bis nach Kalifornien<\/h2>\n<p>Weltweit sind ungef\u00e4hr 40.000 Hektar Rebfl\u00e4che mit Colombard bestockt. Neben Frankreich, wo die wei\u00dfe Rebsorte wieder vermehrt in der Region Armagnac angepflanzt wird, spielt sie im <a href=\"\/magazin\/weinwissen\/kalifornien\/\">kalifornischen<\/a> Anbaugebiet Central Valley eine gro\u00dfe Rolle. \u00dcber 10.000 Hektar sind mit Colombar-Rebst\u00f6cken bepflanzt, die haupts\u00e4chlich zu trockenen oder halbtrockenen Tafelweinen ausgebaut werden. Aber auch in <a href=\"\/magazin\/weinwissen\/weinland-suedafrika-die-kap-region-stellt-sich-vor\/\">S\u00fcdafrika<\/a> ist eine \u00e4hnlich gro\u00dfe Fl\u00e4che mit der wei\u00dfen Rebsorte bestockt. Hier werden die Trauben vor allem zu halbs\u00fc\u00dfen Weinen verarbeitet. In anderen L\u00e4ndern wie <a href=\"\/magazin\/weinwissen\/weinland-australien\/\">Australien<\/a>, <a href=\"\/magazin\/weinwissen\/weinland-spanien\/\">Spanien<\/a> oder auch in Israel und Thailand sind kleine Mengen von Colombard-Best\u00e4nden bekannt.<\/p>\n<h2>Colombard: blumig, fruchtig, frisch<\/h2>\n<p>Die Colombard-Trauben werden aufgrund ihrer feinen S\u00e4ure und ihren fruchtigen Aromen gerne als Verschnittpartner verwendet. Inzwischen werden die Weine mithilfe von moderner Weintechnologie mit gek\u00fchlter und langsamer G\u00e4rung in Edelstahltanks ausgebaut und ergeben so lebendige und frische Weine mit fruchtigen Aromen. Diese reichen von feinen Noten von Ananas und Apfel \u00fcber Zitrone, Mango, Passionsfrucht und Pfirsich. Ihre feine S\u00e4ure passt besonders gut zu Gerichten mit hellem Fleisch und milden K\u00e4sesorten.<\/p>\n<div class=\"product-slider\" id=\"_prodSlider6a390471c86bd\">\n\t\t\t<h2>Colombard bei
