Ihr Name Pinotage ist eine Verk\u00fcrzung der urspr\u00fcnglichen Bezeichnung \u201ePerold\u2019s Hermitage x Pinot\u201c. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Professor Abraham Isak Perold z\u00fcchtete sie 1924 an der Universit\u00e4t in <a href=\"\/magazin\/weinwissen\/stellenbosch-weinhauptstadt-suedafrikas\/\">Stellenbosch<\/a>, S\u00fcdafrika, indem er die beiden Weinsorten <a href=\"\/magazin\/weinwissen\/pinot-noir\/\">Pinot Noir<\/a> und Hermitage kreuzte. Pinot Noir ist der Weinwelt heute auch als <a href=\"\/magazin\/weinwissen\/pinot-noir-spaetburgunder\/\">Sp\u00e4tburgunder<\/a>, Hermitage vor allem als Cinsault bekannt. Neben S\u00fcdafrika wird die Rebsorte auch in kleinerem Umfang in <a href=\"\/magazin\/weinwissen\/weine-aus-neuseeland-alte-rebsorten-in-der-neuen-welt\/\">Neuseeland<\/a>, Brasilien, Kanada, Israel und <a href=\"\/magazin\/weinwissen\/kalifornien\/\">Kalifornien<\/a> angebaut.<\/p>\n<h2>Einzigartiger Pinotage-Charakter<\/h2>\n<p>Zum ersten Mal unter der verk\u00fcrzten Bezeichnung Pinotage kam Wein aus der neuen Rebsorte uu Beginn der 1960er Jahre auf den Markt. Er stammte vom Weingut Stellenbosch Farmers\u2019 Winery. Anfangs eilte den Weinen nicht der beste Ruf voraus, weil die ersten Erzeugnisse geschmacklich nicht \u00fcberzeugten und zun\u00e4chst sehr viel Alltagswein von geringerer Qualit\u00e4t aus den Trauben gekeltert wurde. Erst in den 1990er Jahren wurde Pinotage-Wein wieder beliebter und ist es bis heute geblieben. Mittlerweile wei\u00df man, dass mit Fachwissen aus den Trauben durchaus sehr hochwertige Weine mit ureigenem Charakter gewonnen werden k\u00f6nnen. Diese Weine \u00fcberzeugen oft durch eine dichte Struktur mit reifen Gerbstoffen und einem intensiven Duft.<\/p>\n<h2>Hoher Wiedererkennungswert<\/h2>\n<p>Der Pinotage wird traditionell als sortenreiner Wein ausgebaut, ist inzwischen aber auch immer \u00f6fter als Bestandteil von <a href=\"\/magazin\/weinwissen\/unter-den-besten-weinen-der-welt-cuvees\/\">Cuv\u00e9es<\/a> im Zusammenspiel mit anderen kr\u00e4ftigen Rebsorten wie <a href=\"\/magazin\/weinwissen\/shiraz\/\">Shiraz<\/a> oder <a href=\"\/magazin\/weinwissen\/merlot\/\">Merlot<\/a> zu finden. Die sortenreinen Weine haben eine dunkelrote Farbe, sind rund und <a href=\"\/magazin\/weinwissen\/samtig-weich\/\">weich<\/a> im Geschmack und haben eine <a href=\"\/magazin\/weinwissen\/samtig-weich\/\">samtige<\/a> Textur. Beim Trinken steigen dem Weinkenner Aromen von roten und schwarzen Beeren in die Nase. Hinzu kommen manchmal ein Hauch von Banane und tropischen Fr\u00fcchten. Reift der Pinotage im <a href=\"\/magazin\/weinwissen\/wein-im-holzfass-eine-holzige-angelegenheit\/\">Barrique<\/a>, entfalten sich rauchige Aromen und Ankl\u00e4nge von Mocca, Gew\u00fcrzen, <a href=\"\/magazin\/weinwissen\/eine-versuchung-wert-wein-und-schokolade\/\">Schokolade<\/a> und Vanille. Pinotage-Wein passt hervorragend zu dunklem Fleisch oder <a href=\"\/magazin\/weinwissen\/wild-und-wein\/\">Wildgerichten<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"product-slider\"
